Interested in Hosting a Wine Share?

First Friday Wine Share - Kerrville

Part of the goal of First Friday Wine Share - Kerrville is to bring people into local establishments that they probably didn’t know about or hadn’t been to prior to that month’s WineShare. Being a host is simple you’ll need:

• Space to accommodate an average of 40 people
• You must be closed to the general public during the WineShare which will be on the first Friday of the month you host, from 6-7:30pm
• Hosts also provide finger food, this can be as simple as a cheese plate with crackers or as fancy as catering

Hosts should plan to be at the event at least 30 minutes before and after. Our attendees bring a bottle of wine according to that month’s theme and a wine glass. Our First Friday Wine Share - Kerrville coordinator(s) for the month will check guests in, open the bottles up, and everyone pours themselves glasses of anything and everything, hence the “share” in WineShare. As long as there is a cleared space for the wine your job as host is pretty much complete. The coordinator will quiet everyone around 7pm and introduce you as the host, giving you a chance to talk about your business and anything upcoming you want us to know about. We are a laid back group of all ages and backgrounds who appreciate finding new local places to patronize while enjoying new people and new wines.

PLEASE NOTE:  in order to give everyone a fair share at hosting an event, we will allow a host to host the event for 2 years in a row (hosting the same month for two years).  After two consecutive years of hosting, your name will go back into the pot for future open years/months (if you wish to continue hosting).
